Wirewright Terms of Use

By downloading or using the Wirewright app (“the App”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

Startup Slang Inc. grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the usage rules of the Apple App Store or Google Play. The App is licensed, not sold. For iOS users, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/) also applies. Where it conflicts with these Terms, these Terms prevail to the extent the conflict is permitted.

2. Reference tool only: not professional advice

The App produces calculations based on published tables and formulas (including NFPA 70 / NEC and CSA C22.1 / CEC). Results are for reference only. They do not replace the judgment of a licensed professional, the applicable code edition, manufacturer instructions, or the requirements of your Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Codes vary by edition and jurisdiction, and local amendments may apply. You are solely responsible for verifying all results before relying on them for design, installation or inspection. NEC® and NFPA 70® are trademarks of the NFPA. The App is not affiliated with or endorsed by NFPA or CSA Group.

3. Wirewright Pro subscriptions

• Pro is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (for example monthly or annual). Prices are shown in the App before you buy.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage or cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
• Use “Restore Purchases” to re-enable Pro on a new device signed in to the same store account.

4. Acceptable use

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, resell, or redistribute the App or its data tables, or use it in violation of any law.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its content and its design are owned by Startup Slang Inc. and protected by copyright and other laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

7. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STARTUP SLANG INC. IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, CODE VIOLATION OR LOSS ARISING FROM USE OF THE APP OR RELIANCE ON ITS RESULTS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

8. Termination

These Terms apply until terminated. Your rights end automatically if you breach them, and you must then stop using the App.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law in your place of residence provides otherwise.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continuing to use the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
